About Tugay Akin
I’m Tugay, a designer who cares deeply about the small decisions that make a product feel considered.
Over the years I’ve worked on branding systems, digital products, design systems, and mobile apps, as well as tools that help people create better, on-brand visuals. Right now at Sofico, I’m building an AI-powered tool that makes branding a product easier.
I start by listening to people, then solve their problems in ways that feel easy and delightful to use. AI has reshaped how I work, to everyone’s benefit: I prototype early, then design, refine, iterate, and ship.
Outside of work, I spend my time with my family, watch football, and cook. I also love to travel, discovering new places, cultures, and experiences along the way.

Product Designer & Design Engineer · Sofico
Sofico is a leading software company in mobility and automotive services, with complex B2B and B2C products. I work on one of its B2B products and lead its migration to a new design system. I’m also building an AI-powered tool that makes it easier to brand our products.

I designed interfaces and user experiences for Apicbase’s complex restaurant management software, along with online and offline marketing materials.

I designed user experiences for web and mobile apps. Clients included one of Turkey’s biggest football clubs and a basketball club, among many others.
